About Me — Kenneth Yuen, APA Tilted Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Glenelg
Supporting Your Recovery and Movement Goals
Focused on personalised care to help you move with greater comfort and confidence
Hello, I’m Kenneth Yuen, an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience in Hong Kong and Australia. I work with people experiencing pain, stiffness, or injury, with the aim of helping them restore movement and return to the activities that matter most to them.
My practice is based in Glenelg, just 7 km from the Adelaide CBD, within Bayside Family Medical and Musculoskeletal Practice — a well-established health centre serving the local community.
My Qualifications and Focus Areas
Master of Physiotherapy (Manipulative), The University of Queensland
Bachelor of Physiotherapy, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Certified Fascial Counterstrain Provider (USA)
I have a special interesting advanced manual therapy, particularly Fascial Counterstrain — a gentle approach that works with the body’s fascia system. This method is applied to the fascial tissue wrapping the muscles, joints, nerves, veins, arteries, adipose tissue and visceral structures, with the goal of reducing tension and improving movement.
My Approach to Care
I understand that each patient’s situation is unique. My treatment approach may include:
Thorough assessment to guide care
Gentle Fascial Counterstrain techniques to release protective restrictions
Physiotherapy techniques to restore, mobility, strength, and function
Osteopathic concepts that consider the body as an interconnected whole
Education to help you better understand your body and manage your condition
People often consult me for:
Neck or back concerns
Sports and activities-related injuries
Chronic or persistent pain presentation
Postural and ergonomic issues
Recovery following surgery
My aim is to provide care that is evidence-informed thorough, and tailor to individual.
Ongoing Professional Development
Physiotherapy is constantly evolving, and I am committed to lifelong learning. I regularly attend workshops and advanced training in Australia and through international networks to ensure my patients benefit from up-to-date, evidence-informed approaches. Over the years, I have undertaken extensive postgraduate education with recognised institutes, including:
Fascial Counterstrain (USA & Australia)
Advanced training across multiple systems, including nervous, lymphatic, arterial, visceral, and musculoskeletal systems, as well as diagnostic methods.
Diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Theory & Practice – Osteopathic College of Ontario.

Other Professional Development
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring Adelaide’s beautiful surroundings, reading, and watching movies — activities that help me stay balanced and energised.
